What this is

Talk to the Guru lets you chat one to one with the Guru, a real human. The Guru aims to reply within 24 hours. It isn't live chat, and no AI writes the replies.

It's a conversation, not therapy, counseling, or medical, legal or financial advice. We don't promise any particular outcome. If you're in crisis, contact your local emergency number. In the US, you can call or text 988.

Who can use it

You must be 18 or older.
Keep your sign-in secure. You're responsible for what's sent from your account.

Free messages and membership

Your first 100 messages are free. A text or a photo counts as 1 message and a voice note counts as 3. The Guru's replies don't count.
If something costs more than the free messages you have left, it's still sent and your free messages go to zero.
After that, membership is $19 a month in the US and €19 a month in the EU, billed through PayPal. Members can send unlimited messages, voice notes and photos.
You can cancel anytime. If you cancel, you keep membership until the end of the period you've paid for. After that your chat history stays visible, and you can renew to send again.

Be respectful

Be respectful. Abusive or illegal content isn't allowed and will result in removal. The Guru may remove messages or end access to the service. Where the law requires it, illegal content is reported to the authorities.

Chats are private, so please don't record or share them. Sharing a chat can lead to removal.

Your messages

What you write stays yours. You allow us to store it and show it to the Guru so the service can work. You can delete your chat at any time, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll let you know in the app before it applies.
